Concept

Multiple users are invited to the relaxing VR art installation by simulating a ‘comfort’ moment of our memory through the poetic use of space, light, and sound.

Why? Most of the VR contents are focused on game and activity. Our priority is feeling and emotion instead. So, this project is built the secure space in the VR World. Personally, the most secure space was in our memory. Sometimes, Space in our memory feels like a refuge. This intact space is exhibited to the public.

Goal

  • The building is an art Gallery/Museum. To exhibit our artworks.

  • This experience is more about ‘Relaxing’ than ‘Activity.’

  • Minimal interaction to maximize the experience, and invite new users to VR technology.

  • Provide secure but subjective space to relax, meditate, art, appreciate art etc.

  • Multiple Light-weighted experience > Single Heavy experience

Process :

  • Collect our memory that was a refuge for us.

  • Research : Spatial Art installation using Sound, Space, Light

  • Portray memory, sound, emotion, moment exist in the form of light

  • The poetic use of interaction, sound, and light

  • Abstract simulation of our memory

  • Breaking the border between these contradictions and a portray of solitude ; Past & Future, Real & Surreal, Objective & Subjective.
